Reflection and Refraction

Video Segment |02:31

Explains the terms reflection and refraction, which are two ways in which light reacts with the surface of an object. Reflection occurs when light bounces off an object, either in one direction or scattered in several. Refraction is the bending of light rays that occurs when they enter a new medium. It causes objects viewed through that medium to appear bent or off-center.
